AV Installation Technician
Department: Technician
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Los Angeles, CA (OneButton)
Reporting To: Chris, System Design
Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 / hour
Description
We're looking for an AV Technician to install and service high-end smart home systems in premium homes across Los Angeles. There's a clear path to grow from Technician to Lead Technician to Service and Programming.
You Are:
- A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.
You Have:
- Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ.
Your Location:
- Our Office: 4151 Redwood Ave #405, Los Angeles, CA 90066
- Projects are located in the surrounding area
Your Schedule:
- Full Time (40hrs/Wk) – We do not short your hours!!!
- Mon-Fri: 8:00am-4:00pm
Your Manager:
- Chris, System Design
Your Contribution to OneButton:
- Install audio, video, and home theater systems (TVs, projectors, speakers)
- Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Speaker, Control, RCA)
- Build and lace network racks
- Install lighting control and keypads, motorized window treatments, intercom, surveillance, access control, and WiFi
- Commission, configure, and test systems
- Read and interpret construction plans, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Coordinate with contractors and other trades on active construction sites
- Troubleshoot and service existing systems
Your Ideal Background/Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in AV, low-voltage, smart home, or a related trade
- Basic electrical and networking knowledge
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with Lutron (HomeWorks QS, RadioRA), Savant, Control4, or Crestron
- Access control and intercom systems (2N, Siedle, smart locks)
- CEDIA, Lutron, or manufacturer certifications; OSHA 10/30
