Sales Trader

A Brokerage Firm committed to delivering sustainable value to its clients is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of a Sales Trader.

The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing and executing trades across equities, bonds, commodities and money market instruments. You will engage with clients to facilitate transactions, ensuring efficient trade execution while optimising market opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to attract and grow the firms local client base.
• Provide services to meet the securities trading needs of clients of the firm.
• Collaborate on developing new products and services to enhance the trading solutions for clients.
• Utilise the company's network of brokerage firms across the globe to fulfil clients' securities trading requirements.
• Engage with regulatory bodies, custodian banks, and other external entities to support trading activities.
• Work closely with representatives from satellite offices to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Train and build the capabilities of trainees to fulfil key job requirements.

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution; a focus on Economics or Finance is a plus.
• Must be a Broker-Dealer licensee of the Securities and Exchange Commission (Ghana) or hold equivalent certification from a jurisdiction recognised by the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO)

• Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining professional relationships.
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Sound financial analysis capabilities; advanced financial modelling is an advantage.
• Proficient in information technology, particularly the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based applications.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg Professional® or Reuters Eikon® will be an advantage
