The Role
The Head of Digital Commerce Platforms is a senior executive responsible for defining and executing the enterprise strategy for digital commerce experiences, tokenization capabilities, and next-generation payment ecosystems. This leader will drive the transformation of how customers initiate, authenticate, and complete purchases across digital channels while accelerating the adoption of secure, scalable, and innovative payment technologies.
This executive oversees product strategy, commercialization, platform modernization, ecosystem partnerships, and regulatory readiness across digital wallets, tokenization, credential management, network innovation, real-time payments, and emerging commerce technologies. The role partners closely with leaders across Technology, Digital, Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, Risk, Fraud, Operations, Finance, Strategy, and external ecosystem partners to deliver industry-leading digital payment experiences while driving growth, security, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Wallet Platform & Service Enablement
- Third-party wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal
- Bank wallets: Paze
- Digital asset wallets / digital currency / stablecoin
- Future wallet ecosystems (e.g., merchant wallets, agentic wallets)
2. Digital Credential & Tokenization Strategy
- Network tokenization & Tokenized Account Number (TAN) management
- Credential directory
- Vault management
- TAN & card-on-file management
- Token lifecycle management
3. Digital Identity & Payment Authentication
- User Authentication platforms for digital commerce (partnering closely with Digital, Tech)
- Three-Domain Secure (3DS) 2.0 including Open Authentication and emerging approaches/models
- Persistent Digital Identity Framework for digital commerce
4. Product Strategy & Roadmaps (CHANNELS)
- Customer experience for wallets, etc. (partnering closely with Digital, Debit and Credit teams)
- Security and fraud reduction for wallets, etc. (partnering closely with Financial Crime Management, Debit and Credit teams)
- GTM / adoption growth wallets, etc. (partnering with Marketing, Debit and Credit teams)
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education·
- 6+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with major payment networks, digital wallet providers, fintechs, and commerce platforms.
- Expertise in network tokenization, credential management, embedded finance, and digital commerce ecosystems.
- Experience leading large-scale modernization, digital transformation, or payment innovation programs.Strong understanding of consumer and commercial payment trends and emerging technologies.
- Ability to achieve results in a high complexity environment.
- Executive level communications.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $250,000.00 - $420,000.00
