GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the general guidance of the AVP of Talent Acquisition and Development, the Change Management Partner plays a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet objectives by increasing employee engagement, productivity and adoption. The Change Management Partner works in partnership with all areas of the organization to help drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency regarding the change impacting employees and the organization so DFW’s goals and business objectives are achieved. This position creates deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with and coaches leaders at all levels of the organization, HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, project teams and employees to manage the implementation of change initiatives and ensure they are carried out effectively.
  • Develops and implements change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption/usage.
  • Works with and coaches project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Creates change communication plans and training curriculum/plans in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication and training regarding the change.
  • Identifies potential risks, anticipated points of resistance and develops specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Conducts impact analysis, assesses change readiness and identifies key stakeholders.
  • Creates initial training plans, provides input, documents requirements and supports the design and delivery of training programs. To include initial change plans, curriculum design, and communication plans.
  • Creates and manages measurement systems to track impact, adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes as well as monitors the adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes.
  • Identifies performance gaps and develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Works with project managers to ensure smooth execution of changes and transitions.
  • Manages the organization’s change portfolio. Tracks all change initiatives across the organization and works with all project managers to understand timelines and deadlines to minimize disruption. Makes recommendations to leadership on the prioritization of initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in change management, business administration, psychology, information technology or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience managing complex organizational change, project management, and business analysis.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience and knowledge in change management principles, methodologies, and tools to develop and implement effective change strategies.
  • Knowledge of project management and business development strategies.
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Skill in resiliency, tenacity and perseverance.
  • Exceptional listening, oral and written communication skills to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences and facilitate understanding and cooperation among team members.
  • Leadership skills to guide and manage teams, build consensus, and inspire others to embrace change.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and are high quality.
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and drive positive change.
  • Skill in problem solving and root cause analysis to tackle the challenges and obstacles that arise during the change management process and develop effective solutions.
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders, manage resistance to change, and foster a positive change culture.
  • Experience and skill in coaching organizational leaders and project teams.
  • Ability in developing innovative and creative approaches and solutions to people-related challenges.
  • Ability to influence others within and outside of the organization.
  • Skill in the proficient use in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) software.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.

DESIRABLE

  • Master’s degree in change management, business, psychology or related fields.
  • Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, AIM Change Management).
  • Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP).

  • Uses near visual acuity in reading written materials and statistical data.
  • Uses complex reasoning in problem solving and analysis.
  • Exchanges information by telephone, computer, in writing, and in person.
