Internship - Operations Improvement (Pilot Plant), Singapore (January to June 2027)

Education required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Engineering discipline with a focus in Chemical Engineering

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: January to June 2027

This role sits in our Jurong R&D Pilot Plant.

What will you do?

• The student will be involved in routine Operations activities as well as improvement programs

• Office based support activities include Risk Assessments, SOPs, Logsheets and Guidance documents etc.

• Improvement programs include Leaning out of Turnaround workflow, expediting materials management activities and upskilling of operational personnel through generation of guidance documents

• Activities will require plant walkdowns to review existing workflow and data analysis to derive the optimum / more feasible solution

What will you learn?

• Office based document reviews/generation

• Plant based site survey for scoping and implementation

• Working with shopfloor team on deriving synergistic solutions

• Working on designing activities to improve Safety and Quality Culture

What are we looking for?

• Understanding of chemical engineering principles and apply them in the context of plant operations activities

• Comfortable working with cross functional teams of engineers, chemists, analysts and technicians with diverse background

• Proactive, curious, adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset

• Ability to quickly adapt to change and working under pressure

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Great project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
