Operations is one of the key areas of ING Bank, connecting customers, products, technology, and business processes.

Our teams ensure that banking services run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. Whether it's payments, lending, trade finance, process optimization, or automation initiatives, Operations combines operational expertise with innovation to create better experiences for our customers.

Your day to day

As an Operations Intern, you will:

• Learn about ING’s products, processes, and operational activities, then apply your knowledge in real-life situations.

• Support the processing of domestic and international payments, helping ensure transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Assist with financial analysis and operational reviews.

• Contribute to handling credit-related requests and documentation.

• Explore trade finance processes and other core banking operations.

• Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

• Collaborate with colleagues across different teams to solve problems and deliver the best outcomes for our customers.

• Gain insights into the local and global economic environment and understand how it influences banking decisions and risk management.

• Participate in projects focused on digitalization, automation, and innovation.

• Share your ideas and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Operations area.
