MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• Lead the end-to-end setup and operational launch of a Category III AIF in GIFT City, ensuring a scalable and compliant fund platform.
• Drive fund establishment from scratch, including IFSCA regulatory approvals, operational framework, governance, and service provider onboarding.
• Oversee investor onboarding, fund operations, compliance, and ongoing fund management in accordance with IFSCA and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Our client is a leading real estate-focused investment management platform specializing in structured investments, Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), and innovative real estate financing solutions across India.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the end-to-end setup of a Category III AIF, including fund launch, regulatory registrations, and operational readiness.
• Obtain and manage approvals with IFSCA, SEZ authorities, FIU, and other regulatory bodies.
• Develop and implement fund operating models, policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, tax advisors, fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and banking partners during fund setup.
• Drive investor onboarding, KYC/AML/CDD processes, FATCA/CRS compliance, and capital call processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFSCA regulations, AML/CFT guidelines, FEMA, SEZ regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Manage relationships with service providers, brokers, custodians, and external stakeholders.
• Establish internal controls, risk management, compliance monitoring, and regulatory reporting processes.
• Support the investment team in trade execution, operational due diligence, and lifecycle management.
• Lead statutory, internal, and regulatory audits while ensuring timely closure of observations.
• Build and mentor the operations and compliance team as the fund scales.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), CFA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification.
• 8–15 years of experience in Alternative Investment Funds, Hedge Funds, PMS, or Asset Management.
• Proven experience in setting up the fund from inception to launch.
Strong understanding of IFSCA regulations, AIF framework, AML/KYC, FEMA, SEZ regulations, and cross-border fund structures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
