We have an excellent opportunity with a great potential of impact for a Category Development Manager as part of our Nordics organisation either right in the heart of Stockholm in Nordics HQ office or close to Copenhagen in our DK entity. In this cross-boarder role you would be together with the Category Development team responsible for the strategic and commercial performance to ensure growth, profitability and customer value. There will also be a strong interface with our EPDM team based in the Netherlands and the UK. Get ready for an exciting journey driving one of the most iconic brands.
Your responsibilities
Develop and execute category strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share within the Nordics market (from Denmark to Iceland) together with your team
Analyse market trends, consumer insights, and category performance to identify opportunities in close cooperation with your counterpart in Marketing
Manage the product portfolio, including assortment, pricing, promotions, and lifecycle planning.
Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to deliver category objectives locally and within the EU-Zone
Lead new product launches and category development initiatives
Monitor category KPIs and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize performance to align with overall business strategy and commercial objectives
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and external partners where applicable
Your qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Category Management, Trade Marketing or Sales, preferably within FMCG and with first personnel experience
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting market and sales data
Proven experience in category planning, portfolio management, and commercial decision-making
Excellent project management and organizational skills combined with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with syndicated market data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana/IRI) is an advantage
Fluent in English is a must-have; additional language skills are an advantage.
