What You’ll Do:
As a member of our Human Resources team, you'll play a key role in shaping the employee experience for more than 675 employees across the country. We're looking for a critical thinker who is naturally curious, can balance attention to detail with exceptional relationship-building skills, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
In this role, you'll support every stage of the employee lifecycle - from welcoming new hires and guiding employees through important milestones to helping leaders navigate HR questions and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and seamless onboarding experience that sets new employees up for success from day one.
- Maintain accurate employee records within our HRIS while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Serve as a trusted resource by responding to employee questions with professionalism, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
- Partner with managers and employees to identify practical, people-focused solutions to a variety of HR matters.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Security, and operational teams to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Perform periodic audits of HR records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Support performance management, compensation administration, employee relations, benefits administration, policy implementation, and training initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and contribute ideas that enhance efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.
- Participate in special projects and strategic HR initiatives that help support ASEC's continued growth and success.

Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
- At least three years of progressive Human Resources experience is required; experience supporting a government contractor is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment practices, and the importance of handling confidential information with discretion.
- Experience with HRIS platforms is required; experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 is required.
- SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, exercise sound judgment, and develop thoughtful solutions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and establish positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset with the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement rather than simply reacting to issues.

Salary Range:
- The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000, commensurate with an individual’s experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- The job operates in a professional office environment with normal use of standard office equipment. Some physical exertion may be required. May be required to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
