Nurse Unit Manager - Surgical Admission Unit

St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead our Surgical Admission Unit (SAU) at our East Melbourne site.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent full time role reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager.

You will provide clinical, operational and people leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient and patient-centred care while supporting a high-performing and engaged team.

The Surgical Admission Unit plays a pivotal role in preparing patients for surgery and facilitating seamless transition through their admission process. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the unit, driving excellence in clinical care, patient experience, workforce engagement and operational performance.

To succeed in this exciting role, you will have the following:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Proven nursing leadership experience

• Strong people leadership, communication, operational management skills

• A commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and excellence in care.

• The ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams
