As a Armed Security Officer - Day Shifts in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, courtyards, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and applicable laws.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation; operate assigned communications equipment and carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
