Position Overview

Under the direction of the Product Safety Team Lead, the Product Safety Technician is responsible for supporting Product Safety Team in monitoring, tracking, investigating, and improving product safety for Johnson Health Tech North America.  Duties will include working on the Product Safety Team to review reports of product safety issues, provide information to the Product Safety Committee, review returned units with Quality Engineers, and take ownership of escalated customer support contacts in accordance with company policies and procedures. 


Responsibilities

• Create Product Safety Reports (PSR) and Questionnaires (PSQ)

• Order parts, dispatch technicians to perform service or gather information

• Contact Customers to gather information and coordinate remedies

• Assist with PST activities such as weekly meetings and data review

• Manage weekly CRM keyword searches

• Help track product returns to ensure timely arrival of returned products

• Maintains Confidentiality

• Work on other projects as needed


Requirements

Education:

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred


Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in Customer Technical Service


Other Requirements:

• Proficiency with Office 365 products

• Proficiency with CRM & SAP required


Physical Demands & Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach above the shoulders, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate.
