He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
You’ll play a key role in supporting environmental compliance and project delivery activities across our construction programmes. You'll work closely with delivery managers, project engineers, contractors, environmental specialists, mana whenua partners, community groups and Auckland Council to help ensure compliance obligations are met and environmental outcomes are achieved.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting environmental compliance across construction projects
- Maintaining compliance registers and Watercare's compliance management systems
- Coordinating environmental training, inductions and project documentation
- Assisting with environmental approvals and statutory applications
- Supporting environmental initiatives, community programmes and stakeholder engagement activities
- Preparing reports, templates and documentation that contribute to continuous improvement across the team
- Managing environmental records and documentation within project systems including Aconex and project web pages.

We're looking for a highly organised and collaborative professional who is passionate about environmental management and keen to build their career within a major infrastructure environment.
You'll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in environmental science, resource management, planning or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation, time management and administration skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new systems, processes and environmental requirements
- Previous experience in the environmental sector or infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
