Job Summary:
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules that align with customer requirements and internal capacity. This role ensures timely execution of production plans, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain valid master production schedules aligned with ERP systems and customer demand.
- Identify variances against planned rates and initiate corrective actions.
- Execute production plans to meet customer required dates.
- Support schedule change control efforts and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Perform capacity planning to ensure alignment between planned and required capacity.
- Analyze demand signals and determine build requirements.
- Maintain and report on scheduling methods, performance metrics, and process procedures.
- Prepare and distribute production reports and performance updates.
- Collaborate with technical leads and client personnel to provide schedule status data.
- Create and monitor performance metrics; issue monthly reports.
- Program software tools to import/export data as needed.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, or High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Extensive experience with ERP and MRP systems.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Excellent mathematical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively in a team.
- High degree of personal accountability and attention to detail.
- History of excellent attendance.
