Overview

Some careers are just jobs. This one is different. At Pinnacle Family Services, the work you do every day has a real and lasting impact on children and families who need it most.

For over 30 years, we've provided evidence-based therapeutic foster care and behavioral health services to at-risk youth across North Carolina and South Carolina — specializing in serving children who have experienced trauma, loss, abuse, or neglect. Our approach is trauma-informed and relationship-focused, because we know that healing happens through connection.

When you join Pinnacle, you're not just joining an organization — you're joining a community of professionals who show up every day because they genuinely believe in this work.

Pinnacle Family Services is part of Health Connect America, a COA-accredited family of behavioral health brands serving children, families, and adults across nine states. That means you'll have the close-knit culture and mission focus of a team that's been doing this work for decades, backed by the resources, clinical infrastructure, and organizational support to help you do it well. Every program across our network shares the same commitment — compassionate, client-centered care that meets people where they are and walks alongside them toward something better.

Come make a difference and grow with us.

Responsibilities

If you're someone who enjoys balancing direct service, operational leadership, and team support to create meaningful outcomes for children and families, this role was built for you.

As a Program Coordinator at Health Connect America, you'll play a key role in supporting both client care and program operations. Through service delivery, coordination, quality oversight, and collaboration with leadership, you'll help ensure programs operate efficiently while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

What You'll Do

As a Program Coordinator, you'll serve as a vital link between direct service delivery, administrative operations, and program leadership. Day to day, you can expect to:

  • Provide direct services to assigned clients while ensuring services are delivered in accordance with treatment plans, organizational standards, and payer requirements
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, participate in treatment team meetings, and review treatment-related documentation to support quality service delivery
  • Serve as a key point of communication for clients, families, referral sources, employees, and community partners by responding to inquiries and supporting positive relationships
  • Assist the Program Director with operational functions including admissions, authorizations, billing, payroll support, customer relations, chart audits, training coordination, and compliance activities
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, staff development, mentoring, and training efforts to help strengthen team performance and workforce development
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budget preparation, marketing initiatives, regional growth efforts, and quality improvement activities that support program success

What to Expect

This is a dynamic role that combines direct client care, leadership support, and operational coordination. You'll work closely with Program Directors, clinicians, referral sources, clients, and community stakeholders to ensure services are delivered effectively and efficiently while maintaining compliance with state, payer, accreditation, and organizational standards.

Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You'll have opportunities to mentor team members, contribute to strategic initiatives, and play a meaningful role in both client outcomes and program performance.

Whether you're supporting a family in need, coordinating operational activities, or assisting with program development, you'll help drive the success of the region and the people it serves.

Qualifications

We welcome candidates who bring leadership potential, operational excellence, and a passion for helping others and meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline required
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children and/or families, including internships, practicum experiences, or volunteer work
  • Leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health, community-based services, case management, program operations, or client services preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance required
