As a Performance Manager, you'll play a dedicated performance and coaching role supporting mainly front-line client-facing staff (e.g. Private Client Advisors, Relationship Managers) in the HNWI and UHNWI space, as well as broader company performance. As a Performance Manager, you'll play a dedicated performance and coaching role supporting mainly front-line client-facing staff (e.g. Private Client Advisors, Relationship Managers) in the HNWI and UHNWI space, as well as broader company performance. The role focuses on developing sales capability, business development strategy, and relationship-based client engagement - while also working closely with sales team managers to strengthen how they manage and develop their teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identify individual development areas and create targeted coaching plans to improve the performance of relevant team members.
- Coach each team member on their individual strategy, pipeline activity, and commercial focus areas, using their strengths, performance data, client portfolio and outcomes, as well as observed behaviours.
- Ensure consistent application of the firm's "Relationship Capital" strategies and skills, across all coached team members.
- Conduct live observation of actual business development and client conversations, with structured post-session feedback.
- Facilitate small-group coaching and peer learning sessions to embed best practice, build sales capability and implement practical coaching tools across the team.
- Run sales meeting role plays and objection-handling simulations to sharpen confidence in high-value prospect conversations.
- Travel to regional office locations as needed to deliver live coaching sessions in person.
- Partner with sales team managers to align coaching plans with individual targets and team performance goals, and support managers in developing their own people management capability.
- Track and report on team member and team development progress to senior stakeholders on a regular basis
Requirements and Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 10 years of experience across professional services, sales, sales management, and/or performance coaching of sales professionals - with direct exposure to the HNWI and UHNWI client environment.
- Proven track record in sales coaching, performance development, or commercial training within financial services, private client advisory, wealth management, or related professional services.
- Deep understanding of relationship-based and consultative selling methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and elevate relevant team members serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
- Exceptional listening, observation, analytical and feedback skills; able to rapidly establish credibility and trust with senior professionals across the business.
- Comfortable operating across cultures with an internationally mobile, high-performing team.
- An accredited coaching qualification would be valuable, but not essential (e.g. ICF, EMCC, etc.)
