As a Armed Security Officer - Overnight Property Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, teamwork, and integrity. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, courtyard, parking areas, building perimeter, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report irregularities, hazards, and security-related concerns through established channels.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; request additional assistance when appropriate.
- Maintain assigned equipment, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and perform duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client requirements, and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
