Introduction
We're looking for a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our Finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, supporting the delivery of accurate payroll and benefits administration across our UK business.
The role
You’ll join our global Finance team, consisting of 23 colleagues, who are responsible for managing the entire accounting function across the company. As our Payroll & Benefits Administrator, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant and timely payroll for approximately 650 UK employees, while supporting the administration of a wide range of employee benefits.
Working closely with colleagues across Finance, HR and the wider business, you'll support payroll processing, benefits administration and employee queries, as well as assisting with a range of finance activities when required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you'll take on a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Supporting the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll.
- Administering new starter and employee payroll information, including changes to personal details.
- Managing the payroll inbox and responding to employee queries.
- Processing holiday adjustments, reconciliations and Holiday Buy deductions.
- Contacting employees to confirm holiday bookings where required.
- Administering company benefits, including Private Medical Insurance, Travel Insurance, Cycle to Work and the Employee Share Option Scheme.
- Supporting relocation administration.
- Calculating statutory and company payments, including maternity, paternity and shared parental pay.
- Coordinating pension administration, including new starter enrolment and uploads to the pension provider.
- Maintaining accurate payroll and benefits records to support audits and annual renewals.
- Assisting with other finance activities when required, including expenses, purchase ledger, travel bookings and company credit cards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following skills or experience:
- Previous payroll processing experience using recognised payroll software
- Excel skills and experience
- A strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
