08The Team:
The Multi Asset Index Management Team within the Global Index Management & Production Group (IMPG) is a dynamic group responsible for overseeing a variety of custom, complex indices. The team values analytical rigor, collaboration, and innovation, and works closely with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality index solutions.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Manage a wide range of custom and complex indices, ensuring adherence to methodology and delivering accurate index data to clients and end users.
- Apply corporate actions to index constituents in the SPDJI proprietary system, following index rules and methodology.
- Interpret complex index methodologies, adjusting data in calculation systems to conform to index rules.
- Perform index rebalances by running models, researching adds/drops, implementing changes, and communicating updates to clients with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Assist in implementing indices into proprietary platforms, coding for ad-hoc projects, and adapting to new technologies and platforms.
- Manage relationships within the department and across Product Management, Client Coverage, Index Engineering, and IT Support to support index management.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in quantitative modeling, financial research, index management and production, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL and working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities to solve problems in a timely and insightful manner.
Key Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage relationships across teams.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates pursuing financial certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CQF are preferred.
- Knowledge of data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and analytical platforms.
- Exposure to AI and related tools.
- Solid understanding of global financial markets across different asset classes and awareness of market events.
