SUMMARY

The Social Media Manager is a skilled tactician with a true passion for organic social media and experience managing organic social media programs that grow, promote, and elevate brand visibility. This position supports the Social Media Supervisor in developing and executing social media plans, managing content calendars and deliverables, and pulling metrics and reports. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, creative self-starter who possesses strong writing and analytical skills, and excels at project management and consistently meeting deadlines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Supports the development and implementation of strategic social media plans for B2B clients.
• Handles community management, promptly responding to customer questions and proactively engaging in outgoing conversation for all social media accounts.
• Develops engaging social content that adheres to best practices and pushes the envelope in new ways to drive engagement.
• Manages Creative team deliverables, ensuring all social creative aligns with brand guidelines and is optimized for each social channel.
• Pulls metrics and reports, managing social listening and analytics to proactively provide insights and recommendations that optimize ROI.
• Provides excellent project management and time management across various accounts and projects.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the current industry landscape on an ongoing basis.
• Contributes to project and/or annual client planning documents.
• Develops persuasive summary and recommendation documents for presentation to client and agency decision-makers.

TASKS MY INCLUDE

• Crafts compelling social content including social media posts, polls, quizzes and more.
• Client communication and presentations (ex: client status calls, reporting).
• Prepares monthly and/or quarterly reports for social media clients, leveraging monitoring and management tools.
• Delivers concise, accurate and actionable accounts of meetings and discussions.
• Makes strategic social media recommendations.
• Collaborates with the Content Studio and Creative team to develop engaging social media content including stills, video, animations, captions and more.
• Influencer research, vetting, outreach and management of deliverables.
• Closely watches and evaluates social media trends to drive our clients’ business forward.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-7 years experience managing social media accounts/campaigns, ideally within an agency environment 
• Bachelor's Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, business, marketing, advertising, English, or other related field of study preferred
• Exceptional writing skills
• Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Must have a clear understanding of best practices for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, experience with Reddit, YouTube is a plus
• Must thrive working within a fast-paced, innovative environment with a strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and multi-task across client accounts, campaigns & projects.
• Experience with Google Suite, Sprout Social, Canva, Sprinklr, Facebook Ad Manager and Google Analytics a plus
• Experience in influencer marketing a plus
• Ability to work weekend and after-hours, as expected in the 24/7 social media news cycle; travel may be included

Planit is an office-first hybrid workplace; we are in-office 3 days per week.
