The opportunity
Join our global R&D team and help shape standards for transformer accessories and reusable components.
You will manage technical specifications, engineering data and product standards used across multiple factories and engineering teams. Working with colleagues from engineering, manufacturing, procurement, master data and quality, you will help ensure consistency, data quality and efficient use of standard components and parts. You will contribute to standardization initiatives, support users in selecting the right parts, and help improve data quality within central PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)/PDM (Product Data Management) systems.
This role is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining technical knowledge with analytical thinking, documentation ownership, and cross-functional collaboration in an international environment. You will have a direct impact on engineering efficiency, product data quality and the successful adoption of global standards across the organization.
How you'll make an impact
- Create and maintain specifications for standard accessories, parts and components.
- Manage engineering standards in within a central PLM/PDM repository.
- Support engineers in selecting and implementing approved components according to required form-fit-function.
- Review and release technical documentation and product data.
- Analyze component data and technical parameters for proper mapping.
- Improve data quality and documentation consistency.
- Collaborate with factories, engineering, suppliers, supplier quality and cross-functional teams.
- Support parts' classification structures definition and product data governance processes.
Your background
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or similar.
- Experience in product engineering, design, R&D or technical documentation.
- Knowledge of technical specifications and engineering standards and norms.
- Experience with PLM/PDM tools is an advantage, e.g. Windchill, Teamcenter, SAP PLM, 3DX or equivalent .
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent English and ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
