Description
Looking for experience in non-profit operations and administration? Child and Family Focus has a bachelor's-level internship program tailored for students to gain experience in business operations of a mid-size company (approximately 150 employees).
Position Summary
Child and Family Focus is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources / Administrative Intern to support a variety of projects and daily HR operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in human resources administration, record management, data entry, and special projects while providing valuable exposure to the HR profession in the non-profit / human services field.
We require that you are receiving course/credit hours to intern with Child and Family Focus. We will partner with your university to fulfill any internship or practicum requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with HR administrative projects and departmental initiatives.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain employee records.
- Organize, file, and maintain confidential personnel documentation.
- Support document management and record retention processes.
- Assist with reviewing, updating, and organizing HR files.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents.
- Help coordinate HR communications and employee-related materials.
- Conduct research and gather information for HR projects as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team.
- Complete additional duties and special assignments as assigned.
- High School Diploma / GED, and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Current child abuse clearance, criminal record clearance, and FBI clearance (reimbursement for obtaining new clearances if applicable).
- Valid driver's license.
- Receiving course credit as a degree requirement.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Availability on Mondays and/or Tuesdays
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
