As the sole Generalist supporting a team of 25 PBPs, the successful candidate will work directly with business leaders and cross-functional partners, including People Analytics, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and People Operations, to deliver data, reporting, org planning, and talent-cycle support that keeps the business moving.
This role is ideal for a client-facing HR professional with a builder’s mindset who enjoys turning complex data into clear, executive-ready insights, managing program timelines, and coordinating high-impact organizational changes in a fast-paced technology environment.
Location: Hybrid in either office location (San Francisco, Chicago or D.C.)
Contract 6-months minimum (W2 only, no 1099 or C2C)

- Pull quick, accurate ad-hoc data and demographic cuts for executive leadership, including exit interview data, attrition, span of control, location lists, and productivity and AI initiative requests.
- Act as the main operational partner for quick data requests, auditing, spot-checking, and validating COE reports before they reach leadership.
- Pull, clean, and format Workday headcount, job profile, and reporting structure reports to support initiatives such as career ladder projects, regional tracking, and VP-level analyses.
- Manage population and compliance analyses for cross-functional initiatives, including return-to-office (RTO) tracking across business units.

- Manage people movement lists in Workday and work closely with People Operations to carry out complex, multi-layered restructuring activities accurately.
- Design, update, and maintain detailed organizational charts to support leaders through re-orgs and strategic org planning.
- Build and audit custom email distribution lists to support change management and internal communication cascades.
- Run point on workback plans and communication schedules for core talent cycles, including Annual Rewards, Performance Calibration, the employee engagement survey, Promotions, and Mid-Year Reviews.
- Design executive-ready presentations, coordinate content, and manage operational prep for leadership offsites.
- 3+ years of experience in HR-related roles, such as HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner.
- Proven client-facing experience working directly with managers and business leaders, with a solid understanding of business priorities and objectives.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with strong Google Sheets/Excel skills (formulas, data modeling, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables).
- High proficiency in Workday, specifically custom report generation, org chart structures, and transactional manager processes.
- Strong familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio/Google Data Studio) and ticketing or case management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with large data sets, with a sharp spot-checking eye for auditing others’ work.
- Proven ability to build project workback plans, align cross-functional timelines, and hold stakeholders accountable to talent-cycle milestones.
- Track record of delivering high-quality work on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information for senior leadership.
- Sound knowledge of core HR concepts, practices, programs, and general regional labor compliance.
- An “always learning” mindset, an ownership mentality, and a strong team-player approach.
