Product Manager

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Our product team consists of specialists in frontend, backend, QA, technical writers and design, as well as engineering managers and, of course, other product managers. We work in small collaborative cross-functional squads responsible for specific new features and improvements to our platform. We have plans to continue developing our product and developing our gamification and personalisation domains - and that's where your expertise would be needed.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Product Manager owning the Gamification domain, you will be paired with a Product Lead within a product tribe consisting of 3 squads. Together, you will gather valuable insights from retailers, brands, and internal stakeholders, and use your deep understanding of personalisation strategies to translate those needs into specifications for new features and improvements. You are passionate about how loyalty, personalisation and gamification  mechanics drive customer behavior and business outcomes, and you will work closely with our tech team in an end-to-end scrum squad. You will have shared ownership, alongside a Lead, of our gamification product vertical within Talon.one’s main Campaign Manager product and its APIs

 

ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:

• Develop a deep understanding of the retail and e-commerce landscape, including gamification, personalisation, and loyalty programs
• Own discovery end to end — uncover what retailers and brands actually need through analysis, market research, and direct client engagement, and translate it into a clear product direction. Delivery is owned by your Engineering Manager, so this role is about defining the right problem and outcome, not running the project.
• Build strong relationships with our Technical Account and Integration Managers and our retail integration partners to facilitate the development of our features
• Work closely with other teams and actively collaborate across departments — including commercial, data, and engineering — to share your domain knowledge and drive alignment
• Define and track key metrics around gamification impact to guide product decisions

 

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

• 3+ years in product management, ideally in B2B, internal tooling, or any other domain in which the end user is not necessarily the end consumer. Domain experience in loyalty or promotions is welcome, not required
• Having the capacity to make decisions with incomplete information, being curious and pragmatic
• Being self-organized and outcome-oriented, with the ability to work independently and a strong sense of ownership
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile setting applying Agile methodology (2 weeks Sprints, JIRA)
• Experience and curiosity when it comes to AI tools usage
• Fluency in English
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of B2B, SaaS and API-first products as well as the technical ins and outs of APIs in general
