Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Assistance in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government school environment, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism and care. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and use clear communication to support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, parking areas, athletic facilities, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to designated school personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
