Location Note: Hybrid role based in Wakefield, MA, with one required in-office day per week.

As a Business Analyst at Sentinel, you play a pivotal role in partnering with business units to improve processes, solve complex problems, and ensure technology solutions align with our overall business strategy and objectives through effective collaboration, data analysis, and support of the software development lifecycle.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Play a vital role in the development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Serve as a contact between business units and the Software Engineering team, facilitating effective communication and understanding between teams.
- Engage with the Business Analyst team bi-weekly to share insights, discuss challenges and enhance team collaboration.
- Be a resource for errors related to custom development, addressing and escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct thorough scoping and analysis of system improvements, encompassing both business processes and technology enhancements.
- Perform quality assurance for custom applications and automated jobs to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Provide support for Salesforce, contributing to reporting, analysis and small workflows as needed.
- Occasionally participate in deployments and maintenance outside of normal business hours.

In this role, you will work with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project leaders to understand problems, document requirements, improve processes, and support successful delivery.

What you need to have:
Preferred qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, product operations, project coordination, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong skills in requirements and process documentation (user stories, process mapping, acceptance criteria, etc.)
- Experience guiding and improving business process and efficiency in Salesforce
- Salary range: $77,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
At Sentinel, compensation is calibrated to your geographic location to reflect local market conditions; the posted salary range may vary based on where you live.
Nice to haves:
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, reporting tools, or workflow
- Salesforce certifications (Business Analyst, Administrator)
