Job Description Summary:

Support the compliance and risk function with ongoing activities and controls, policies and procedures, and consulting the business. The role is suited to a student interested in business, regulation, und governance in a global investment-management environment.

Job Description:

• Assist with regulatory compliance monitoring related to German and EU financial services requirements, including MiFID-related topics. 

• Prepare and update documentation for audits, internal revision, and regulatory requests. 

• Track action items, remediation measures, deadlines, and governance approvals. 

• Help review marketing and client-facing materials for regulatory consistency, where applicable. 

• Conduct research on regulatory developments relevant to investment companies in Germany. 

• Assist with employee training coordination and compliance awareness activities. 

• Contribute to drafting policies, procedures, risk assessments, ad-hoc updates and annual/quarterly reporting to management. 

• Streamline and optimize processes using AI.  

• Coordinate risk management activities in cooperation with the global risk function. 

• Support outsourcing and third-party risk assessments, including initial reviews and periodic. reassessments. 

• Support due diligence reviews of service providers, including documentation of operational, legal, data protection, information security, and concentration risks. 

• Help maintain outsourcing register, vendor control and monitoring. 

 

Candidate Profile/Requirements 

• Enrolled student in Law, Business Law, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. 

• Interest in compliance, risk management, financial regulation and governance/business processes. 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. German is a plus. 

• Confident in using Microsoft 365 applications and interested in learning new digital tools, including AI applications 

• Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and reliability. 

• Curious, motivated, eager to learn, with strong teamwork skills. 

• Analytical skills and attention to details.

In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
