Global Business Solutions (GBS) is TMICC’s trusted transformation partner, delivering innovative and integrated solutions from design to delivery. We develop future-fit capability, expertise and technologically advanced solutions to unlock speed, simplicity and operational agility across TMICCs operations.
This is your chance for a ‘once in a lifetime’ career experience, playing a part in the creation of a fully independent, new Ice Cream company and a greenfield GBS organization supporting Europe Supply Chain Finance Processes. Employees within GBS partner with multiple teams in countries across Europe ranging from Factories, Distribution Centers, Supply Chain Planning, Customer Services, Procurement. You will become part of the delivery service engine behind TMICC’s hero brands and will have the opportunity to implement new solutions and processes alongside an innovative tech stack that is been delivered as part of the separation from Unilever program.
What you'll be responsible for
1. Legal Financial Operations
• Manage finance-related processes within the Legal function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
• Prepare, review, submit, and track expense reports in accordance with internal policies.
• Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and support invoice processing, follow-up, and closure.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, controls, billing processes, and approval requirements.
2. Matter, Invoice & Billing Management
• Create and maintain legal matter records in Legal Tracker or similar matter management / e-billing systems.
• Support invoice review processes, including validation against billing guidelines, approved rates, matter information, and supporting documentation.
• Support review of UTBMS codes, LEDES formats, billing narratives, and invoice data quality.
• Conduct timekeeper rate reviews and support resolution of discrepancies with Legal, Finance, and external law firms.
3. Budgeting, Accruals & Forecasting
• Support preparation of legal budget reports, forecasts, accruals, and spend tracking.
• Maintain forecast trackers and financial data repositories for Legal matters and vendors.
• Gather, validate, and follow up on financial information to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely reporting.
• Identify trends, variances, and follow-up items related to legal fees, budgets, and spend.
4. Vendor, Law Firm & Stakeholder Coordination
• Collaborate with lawyers, Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, external law firms, and vendors to resolve legal fee, billing, payment, and budget-related issues.
• Support vendor onboarding processes and maintain accurate vendor and law firm records.
• Manage the Legal support mailbox and act as a central point of contact for legal finance queries.
5. Systems, Tools & Process Support
• Support Legal Tracker or similar finance, matter management, and e-billing platforms.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate resolution with customer support teams, vendors, IT, Finance, and relevant internal teams.
• Support integration and alignment with other Finance tools and enterprise systems.
• Maintain accurate, structured, and up-to-date records, documentation, trackers, and process references.
6. Reporting, Dashboards & Continuous Improvement
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and operational summaries covering legal spend, matters, invoices, vendors, forecasts, accruals, and process performance.
• Support continuous improvement of financial processes within Legal GBS.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, transparency, controls, and efficiency across legal finance operations.
We're looking for someone who
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7–9 years of experience in a finance-related role, preferably AP / AR / P2P, Legal Operations, e-billing, matter management, or shared services environment.
- Experience working with financial systems, legal e-billing platforms, matter management systems, or enterprise workflow tools.
- Experience in a multinational or GBS environment is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Legal Tracker or similar matter management / e-billing systems is preferred.
- Understanding of legal finance processes including purchase orders, invoices, accruals, forecasting, vendor onboarding, and legal spend tracking.
- Familiarity with billing guidelines, UTBMS codes, LEDES formats, timekeeper rates, and law firm invoice review processes is preferred.
- Ability to prepare trackers, dashboards, reports, and structured financial summaries.
- Comfort working with finance tools, legal technology platforms, and system integration / troubleshooting processes.
