The Role
In line with ongoing and upcoming infrastructure and development initiatives, expressions of interest (EOI) are invited for a Procurement & Contract Expert position based in Hyderabad, Pakistan.
The role requires a senior professional to lead procurement, contract administration, commercial management, and project delivery in line with international standards, while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Master’s degree in engineering, Law, Business Administration, Procurement, Contract or Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in procurement, contract/commercial management, or infrastructure delivery, including 12 years in tendering, bid evaluation, contract administration, claims, and dispute resolution on major water infrastructure projects.
- Experience preparing and reviewing procurement documents, tender packages, evaluation reports, contract conditions, and commercial correspondence.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, contract administration, claims, variations, and dispute avoidance/resolution.
- Experience in procurement planning, market engagement, tendering, contract implementation, and performance monitoring.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary infrastructure programs and large-scale engineering projects.
- Experience on projects funded by international development agencies, donors, or multilateral institutions is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, compliance, risk management, and commercial best practices.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
