As the Facilities Mechanical Technical Specialist, you coordinate with collaborators including vendors to perform maintenance and support engineering work on mechanical machinery and infrastructure on site. You receive mentorship and direction from the Facilities organization to meet the goals of the facilities department, site, facilities corporate, and company. To ensure complete compliance of Micron EHS, RBA and Safety Protocols inclusive but not limited to Code of Ethics and Conduct, Facilities Discipline, Micron Cultures, RA, SOP, PTP, EIP, etc. Implement and utilize Artificial Intelligence tools to optimize and improve the maintenance of facilities mechanical system.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Preventive Maintenance Regime
- Ensure timely generation and closure of Work Orders for PM and CM Plan. Liaise with vendors and acquire permits. Complete PM tasks. Retrieve relevant SOP/RA/PTP and PM checklist.
- Execute PM scheduling and Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work activities.
Progressive Replacement Regime Plan
- communicate with vendors; review PTP and RA; raise necessary permits; implement, complete, and track the status of Progressive Maintenance Regime in tracking file.
- Check; draw; and prepare inventories for use in the regime
- Evaluate & enable continuous improvement for mechanical systems and Micron programs

Root Cause Analysis
- Assist system owner in root cause finding through 8D report adopting 5-Whys; verification of suspected root cause; perform corrective actions; and preventive actions, to prevent recurrence
- Administrate documentation in Standard Operating Procedure, Risk Assessment, Energy Isolation Procedure and Pre-Task-Plan
- Attend troubleshooting of system abnormalities and assist or lead system recovery.
- Supervise out-sourced contract service provider to performance work activities in accordance to defined scope of work and system requirement.
- Utilize computer base software to detail and analyses records of maintenance work order, equipment history and project tracking.
- Maintain equipment and system maintenance record for work history traceability.
- Track and monitor equipment spare parts and consumable inventory.
- Provide feedback on detail build concept and specifications for the setup of new capital equipment and/or system expansion project
- Site supervision for installation of new capital equipment and/or system expansion project at critical milestone during construction phase
- Provides support for start up testing and commissioning of new equipment and system.
- Support & implement feasible SMART Facilities intiative
- Enforce to company’s environmental safety health policy and procedure, standard operating procedure with risk assessment, good housekeeping standard and quality policy when performing work.
- Utilize available software and tools to automate routine maintenance tasks (Filter tracking, FMS Work order assessment, etc.)
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent related field (covering 90% of mechanical Engineering Diploma course) with minimum of 3 years experience in relevant mechanical field.
- Solid understanding of maintenance practices and procedure and installation work
- Experiences in hands on maintenance of mechanical system
- Make-up Air Unit (MAU); Vertical Laminar Flow fan (VLF); Recirculating Unit (RCU); Air Handling Unit (AHU); and Fan Coil Unit (FCU)
- Exhaust Systems (Acid Exhaust; Caustic Exhaust; Solvent Exhaust; and General Exhaust)
- Wet Scrubbers and Solvent Abatement
- Chillers
- Cooling Towers
- Pumps (Condenser Water Pumps; Chilled Water Pumps; Hot Water Pumps; Process Cooling Water Pumps)
- Process Vacuum Pump
- Water Treatment (Condenser Water with Newater and Recycled water; Chilled Water; Process Cooling Water; and Hot Water)
- Hands on experience in equipment maintenance / overhauls
- Ability to analyze maintenance service reports or overhaul reports
- Ability to understand and use schematic, single-line drawing and related equipment and system documentation.
- Ability to work in a team environment with various professional level.
- Ability to analyze PLC drawing / Electrical VSD will be a plus
