The Senior Digital Application Manager position will be responsible for providing oversight, planning, organizing, directing, and managing the day to day operations for application production support processes, systems, projects, and personnel across multi-disciplinary teams. This position will work collaboratively with Digital leaders to create, analyze and research departmental budget(s) to locate errors and/or omissions, balance account records, and reconcile discrepancies. The Senior Manager provides effective resource management for multiple application units &/or workstreams, including staff coaching, staff development, staff load-balancing, and mindful allocation to successfully execute on both production support and optimization activities in tandem. This includes human resources activities such as hiring and separation, performance evaluations, coaching and counseling, wage and salary administration, employee orientation and training. Attends educational in-services as appropriate. Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports for Senior Leaders and Management and/or regulatory agencies. Interprets applicable regulations and establishes filing and auditing procedures to ensure records and files are accurate and in compliance. Performs related responsibilities as required. Key Responsibilities: - Continuously evaluates team structure and skill set to ensure it aligns with business process, tactical planning, and strategic vision. - Oversees the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and support of respective systems and workflows and ensures that critical processes have documented Standard Operating Procedures and established Service Level Agreements. - Enforces, maintains, and adapts Service Level Agreements for the respective critical processes. Provides direct oversight for staff and assist them in managing performance and productivity measures. - Reviews performance objectives to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements. - Routinely leads discussions with Operational Sponsors to collaboratively identify and prioritize new requests and raise escalations and create alternative pathways with regard to resource management to support cited priorities, as necessary. - Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of relative regulatory and security requirements to ensure compliance and to effectively steward revenue through integrated systems. - Establishes and maintains highly effective working relationships with all relevant third-party vendors ensuring seamless coordination of contract management, knowledge transfer, support services, and strategic planning and maintain vendor performance report cards, to consistently measure vendor contribution and solution effectiveness. - Develops and maintains executive relationships and presence within vendor corporations to support defined escalation procedures. - Promotes the highest level of customer service expectations throughout the health system by anticipating and responding to the health information technology needs of Digital customers. - Develops and maintains strong partnerships with internal stakeholders - Works routinely with Application Architects and Analyst across Emory Digital, in proactive identification and resolution to complex problems impacting revenue cycle. - Effectively and routinely coordinates with peers within Digital fostering collaboration and communications within the department. The Senior Manager role will work closely with the Director (and other Leaders) of the department ensuring collaboration and output across functional teams. Will work closely with customer stakeholders to ensure product stability, project delivery and overall transparency between Emory Digital and Operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent required Experience: 7 years experience in health care information technology including project management, personnel management, and application production support. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock , Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation , Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned
