Description
At ING, we are building the future of lending by creating one consistent global way of working. We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Product Manager to join the Loan Booking, Distribution and Servicing product area within Tribe Lending.
A Product Manager owns the “what” of a product domain – defining the vision, outcomes, and roadmap of the product(s) in scope to deliver value for clients, business, and stakeholders. They work end-to-end across the value chain, aligning diverse stakeholders and ensuring teams focus on outcomes, not outputs.
At this level, the Product Manager III is a product creator, expected to take ownership of execution, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and collaborate effectively across roles. Success depends on the ability to follow through, resolve ambiguity, and coordinate with others to ensure delivery. A proactive mindset in identifying and removing delivery blockers is essential.
In this position, you will report to the Product Area Lead – Loan Booking, Distribution and Servicing. The role covers managing the Advanced Collateral Module, the collateral portal and other collateral management systems, creating and driving the roadmap related to Collateral Management journeys. Responsibilities include defining, implementing, and driving the roadmap and aligning stakeholders. These can be internal ING departments like Lending Operations, Front Office, Risk Management and ING locations.
The Team
You’ll work in the Loan Booking, Distribution and Servicing product area, collaborating with Product Leads, Product Managers, Customer Journey Experts, Risk, and IT colleagues across the globe. Together you’ll shape the standards and controls that underpin a scalable, compliant, and efficient collateral management process.
Roles and responsibilities
As Product Manager Collateral Management, you will:
- Report to the Product Area Lead – Loan Booking, Distribution and Servicing
- Set the vision around the future of collateral management and automation, and drive the roadmap in alignment with stakeholders
- Develop success measures and monitor adoption for the end-to-end collateral journeys in scope, within the Global Process Lead framework
- Ensure standardization across products and processes, and take ownership on the collateral journeys in scope to describe them, measure success and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support product teams and the end-to-end value chain in working according to the framework
- Proactively collaborate with stakeholders across business, risk, data, and IT to align design with execution
- Continuously improve the framework based on feedback, regulatory changes, and business priorities
- Act as a role model for ING’s Orange Code behaviors- take it on and make it happen, help others succeed, and always stay one step ahead
How to succeed
We’re hiring you for your potential and vision. Our expectation is that you’ll stay curious, keep learning, and lead with impact. In return, we’ll back you to grow into an even stronger version of yourself. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, product ownership, and delivery skills. You’re comfortable working in a complex, global environment, aligning diverse stakeholders, and ensuring framework are not only designed but also adopted and lived by teams.
The skills and experience we're seeking:
- Product management or process ownership experience, preferably in financial services
- Knowledge of lending products and processes
