Position Overview:

Reporting to the Manager of Business & Systems Analysis Chapter, the Business & Systems Consultant is a key player in bridging IT and business. This role requires deep knowledge of business concepts, practices, and procedures, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic business capabilities and forward-looking roadmaps

• Translate user needs into actionable requirements, epics, and user stories

• Analyze and document system-wide impacts of future developments

• Create and review internal/external communications and technical documentation

• Provide end-to-end validation support for business roll-outs

• Mentor and coach Business & Systems Analysts

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology, or equivalent experience

• 5-10 years of progressive experience in Business & Systems Analysis

• Proficiency in agile methodologies

• Strong understanding of technology platforms and digital products that are client facing

• Familiarity with financial services industry

• Experience in legacy system modernization

• Deep understanding of privacy, compliance, and security requirements

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proven ability to work effectively in matrix team environments

• Experience with data integration modeling and business case development

• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills

• Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing environments

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
