 Position: Senior Transformation Strategist
Remote working policy: UK/ London preferred, with three to four days per week on customer sites and regular travel;

About the company:
Our client is a recently funded Series A company of around 70 people building an AI operations platform for enterprise retail and consumer goods businesses. Its AI agents execute processes across existing systems, helping customers turn operational improvements into measurable financial results.

About the role:
If you enjoy finding value in messy operational problems and convincing executives to act, this role connects your recommendations directly to a product that delivers them.

You’ll work with COOs, CFOs and frontline teams to identify opportunities, quantify the business case and shape an implementation roadmap. This is a hands-on individual contributor role combining executive advisory, commercial account expansion and practical adoption.

What you’ll get to build and influence:

• Find operational opportunities in data such as spend, invoices, rate cards and SKUs
• Build credible baselines and business cases, making assumptions and financial impact clear
• Prioritise workflows by their scale, frequency and achievable value
• Lead executive conversations independently, including challenging recommendations
• Work with frontline teams to understand how processes operate and make adoption succeed
• Turn an initial successful workflow into further opportunities within the account
• Help define the company’s transformation approach as it expands internationally

What we’re looking for:

• Top-tier management consulting experience, ideally with McKinsey, BCG, Bain or similar
• At least two years at Engagement Manager, Project Leader or Principal level
• A minimum of four retail or CPG projects
• Experience in short, high-stakes engagements such as due diligence, value creation, portfolio operations or performance improvement
• Evidence of owning quantified outcomes in revenue, margin, cost or working capital
• Commercial credibility: the ability to develop opportunities and win executive commitment without a partner leading the conversation
• Strong business-case modelling and clear, structured executive communication
• Experience solving different types of business problems
• Daily use of AI tools, with informed judgement about which models suit different tasks
• Willingness to spend three to four days per week at customer sites

Additional experience that would be valuable:

• Operating experience in retail, grocery, merchandising, category management or supply chain
• PE-backed portfolio operations
• Building a product, business or initiative with demonstrable results
• Working in an early-stage company where the approach is still being developed

Location & Working Arrangements:
Based in Europe, with a strong preference for London.

Expect three to four days per week on customer sites, regular travel and interaction with the London office. This is a travel-intensive customer role rather than a primarily home-based position.
