Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a 1st shift Trailer Mechanic A for our site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for handling repairs on new and refurbished trailers.
Shift: Full-Time l Day Shift 4:10s or M-F-No weekends!
Pay: $28.00-$30.00/HR based on experience/qualifications

Position Responsibilities:
- The Trailer Uplifting Technician is responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets, diagnosing complex mechanical problems, and documenting work orders through the online AssetWorks system
- As a Trailer Uplifting Technician, you will inspect, repair, and diagnose refrigeration and heating units, as well as hydraulic liftgate components
- You will assess the structural integrity and body of the asset, repair and replace parts as needed, and perform the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) annual inspection certification
- You will work in a safe manner and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 to 4 years of related experience
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
- Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Technical School Certification
