Title: Senior GL Accountant

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Key Responsibilities:

• Own Corporate monthly closures for the assigned entities
• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with local accounting and reporting requirements.
• Manage and coordinate external audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules, provision of supporting documentation, and timely resolution of auditor inquiries.
• Prepare and submit required statistical reports, ensuring compliance with local reporting deadlines and requirements.
• Perform account analysis and follow-ups, prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure journal entries and account balances are accurate and complete.
• Ensure that financial information complies with professional, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Drive compliance with statutory accounting regulations and stay abreast of regulatory changes and accounting best practices.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or a similar accounting role; experience in a matrix organization environment will be considered an advantage.
• experience in Polish statutory accounting (with exposure to Polish statutory financial statements preparation) preferred.
• Knowledge of GUS/statistical reporting requirements and compliance obligations.
• Experience in supporting and coordinating external audits.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Experience with data analytics will be an advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Fluent English and Polish, including professional business and accounting terminology.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
