We are a busy, patient-centered medical office committed to providing high-quality care in a welcoming and efficient environment. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist who is also comfortable assisting with basic clinical duties.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing front office operations while also supporting the physician and clinical staff with patient care tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in/check out patients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Verify insurance and collect copays.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Process referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests.
  • Room patients and prepare them for examination.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.
  • Prepare and review charts prior to appointments (chart prep).
  • Assist physician during exams and minor procedures as needed.
  • Clean and stock exam rooms.
  • Handle lab specimens and coordinate diagnostic testing.
  • Provide patient education and follow-up instructions.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems (experience with [insert system if applicable]).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual (if applicable).
  • Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
