About the role
We are looking for a Senior Adviser People to help the HR Advisory team deliver consistent, compliant and high-quality resolution of complex employee and leader matters. In this role, you’ll provide judgement-based advice across employee relations, performance, conduct, policy interpretation, workforce changes and other employment lifecycle activities, while working with HR Analysts, People Partners, specialist People Experience teams and operational leaders.
Based at Bell Bay, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys navigating complex people matters and wants to strengthen advisory practice, employee experience and service delivery across a global organisation.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Superintendent People and working in a collaborative HR Advisory environment, you will be:
- Provide specialist advice on complex employee and leader matters, supporting accurate, timely and policy-aligned outcomes.
- Conduct case intake, initial assessment, issue triage and fact gathering, and resolve medium-complexity Workplace Respect matters within the relevant case framework.
- Guide leaders through disciplinary matters, workplace investigations, performance management, employee concerns and workforce transitions, including restructures, redeployment and exits.
- Interpret and apply employment legislation, enterprise agreements, HR policies, procedures and employment frameworks across regional and operational contexts.
- Manage advisory cases within agreed service levels, maintaining accurate documentation, case tracking and audit-ready records in HR systems and case management platforms.
- Partner with HR Analysts, People Partners, specialist teams and operational leaders to deliver seamless case resolution and balance employee experience, operational needs and compliance obligations.
- Identify and escalate high-risk or sensitive matters, and mitigate employee and operational risks through sound judgement, proactive advice and appropriate governance.
- Analyse recurring case themes and contribute to reporting, process simplification, knowledge updates, service quality and standardisation initiatives.
About you
We’re looking for someone whose experience aligns with the key requirements below. You do not need to meet every “helpful for success” item to apply. If you bring relevant experience and are excited by the opportunity, we encourage you to submit an application.

- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Demonstrated experience in HR advisory, employee relations or operational HR service delivery within a complex organisation.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, enterprise agreements and employment frameworks, with the ability to apply them to practical people matters.
- Experience managing complex or sensitive employee cases, including performance, conduct, workplace concerns or organisational change, with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving capability, with experience coaching leaders and balancing employee experience, operational needs, risk and compliance.
- Experience working with HR systems, case management platforms and service workflows, and managing multiple priorities and case volumes within agreed service standards.
Helpful for Success
- Experience with Workday, ServiceNow or comparable HR and case management platforms.
- Exposure to Workplace Respect matters, workplace investigations, audit, compliance or regulatory requirements.
- Experience identifying case trends and contributing to process simplification, knowledge management or service standardisation.
