We deliver health, performance, video, and AI insights from the locker room to competitive environments, ensuring every decision is an opportunity to gain an advantage, sharpen performance, and build lasting success.

WE WANT PEOPLE WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT PROVIDING QUALITY PRODUCTS TO OUR CUSTOMERS

We are looking for an experienced and organised Senior Manager of Global Manufacturing who is a proactive problem solver and a strong communicator.

Based in Taiwan, you will lead our manufacturing team focused on the unique challenges of producing electronic products, continuously improving quality for our customers and scaling production to meet future demands. You will be working with the most cutting edge technology across a wide range of our wearable and stadium infrastructure products for the elite sports industry. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the primary responsibility of the Senior Manager of Global Manufacturing is to implement best practice production processes and systems at Catapult. You will build a team and processes allowing us to modernise our production systems, produce Catapult products across multiple countries, and to scale our production to incorporate new manufacturing partners and meet future demand.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead manufacturing at Catapult. Build and maintain strong relationships with our manufacturing partners (EMS) and suppliers, drive best practice in production processes and systems, and constantly strive to improve the quality of our products.
  • Oversee project management for new product introduction (Prototype / EVT / DVT / PVT / MP), including planning and execution, progress reporting to key stakeholders, and acting with urgency to ensure all stages remain on track.
  • Oversee cost control for new product introduction (NPI), closely monitoring the cost of the BOM for each stage of product development, as well as all associated test equipment, R&D jigs, production jigs, tooling, and third party product testing and certification.
  • Maintain regular and clear communication with global (primarily Australian) teams across a variety of functions including Supply Chain and Logistics, Support, Product, and multidisciplinary (ID, ME, EE, FW) Engineering teams to create alignment.
  • Provide technical leadership for our engineering team in Taiwan. Lead team engineering processes, technical strategy, discussion and planning. Promote innovation and collaboration through documentation, with the view of continuously lifting quality and improving.
  • Recruit, manage and grow a multidisciplinary and geographically diverse engineering team. Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 10+ years experience working with electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and engineering teams designing products for manufacture, scaling production, and supporting electronic products throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • 5+ years experience leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing at least 5 projects through the new product introduction (NPI) process, from the sample stage to mass production. This should include ME/EE/FW integration products, for businesses with scale between 10k-100k pieces per year.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for electronic products, including the design and development of tooling (particularly injection molding), production jigs, and work instructions.
  • Experience with products utilising common wireless communications protocols, such as BLE, Wi-Fi, UWB and long range/low bit rate applications. Basic knowledge of firmware development and embedded Linux systems.
  • Strong (English and Mandarin Chinese) communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in communicating with manufacturers (EMS), multi-disciplinary technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe product features, and technical designs.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks or projects to meet deadlines.

WHAT YOUR SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE

  • In 6 months time you will have:
    • Achieved required mass-production levels for first (90%) and final-pass yield (98%) for new products.
    • Scaled production capacity, whilst maintaining quality, to meet market demand for the Vector 8 family of products.
    • Established manufacturing KPI dashboards covering yield, quality, cost and on-time delivery for all products.
    • Established strong relationships with EMS partners and internal engineering, supply chain, and product colleagues in Taiwan and Melbourne.
    • Established a new office location reflecting Catapult’s growth, presence and operations in Taiwan.
  • In 12 months time you will have:
    • Modernised manufacturing processes, technology and systems, specifically including introducing IoT technology to our factory systems, in order to increase product quality, improve our ability to support our customers, and scale our production.
    • Refined production and engineering processes to support geographically diverse production across multiple EMS partners.
    • Built a high-performing team and processes allowing growth in manufacturing scale, collaboration with new production partners and integration of new and diverse product lines.

  • We encourage our people to engage in constructive, open, and honest communication to make Catapult extraordinary.

  • We value improvement and development. We are challenging ourselves to continuously grow and become a high-performance company. That means we maintain a growth mindset in everything we do, and our people are always looking for ways to improve.  There is an unlimited opportunity to grow, do more, and do better.

Whether you’re interested in sports or not, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing your work is supporting some of the most successful teams and athletes on the planet!

Research shows that while men apply for jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized groups tend only to apply when they check every box. So if you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job ad, please still get in touch! We would love to have a chat and see if you could be a great addition to our team. We are building the future of sports performance. Our priority is to find the brightest talent who can add to our team culture, actively contribute, and be excited about what they do.
