About the location:

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will feature 95 keys and 25 branded residential homes, 8 distinct F&B outlets, all thoughtfully designed to reflect a contemporary interpretation of the Dominican Republic’s natural beauty. Wellness will be a defining pillar of the property, delivering a holistic experience that harmonizes with the natural environment while enhancing overall wellbeing through the restorative power of nature. The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. A site of breathtaking natural beauty, Tropicalia is home to a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm.

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking an experienced and creative Executive Pastry Chef to lead all pastry operations for the resort. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional desserts, and confectionery experiences across all restaurants, banquets, in-room dining, and special events while maintaining the highest Four Seasons standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

What you will do

• Lead and oversee the daily operation of the pastry across all resort outlets, banquets, and special events.
• Develop creative, innovative, and seasonally inspired pastry menus that reflect the resort’s identity and showcase local Dominican ingredients.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop the pastry and bakery team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion standards across all pastry products
• Manage food costs, inventory, purchasing, production planning, and waste reduction in alignment with established budgets.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety.

What you bring

• Culinary or pastry degree, diploma, or equivalent professional qualification from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of five years of progressive pastry leadership experience, preferably within luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end restaurants.
•    Strong leadership, communication, organizational, cost-control, and team-development skills.

Schedule & Hours:

Full-time position.

The role requires flexibility to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours according to business and operational needs.
