SUMMARY:
The role will be based in Shenzhen and will be responsible for providing technical support to CM factories in South China region to ensure the smooth mass production of Laird products at customer sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Technical support for Laird products during mass production phase in CM factories.
-Investigating and resolving manufacturing and application-related issues
-Providing onsite customer support when required
-Ensuring products are applied according to design and process requirements
• Yield improvement and process optimization
-Analyzing production defects and process deviations
-Optimizing manufacturing parameters
-Reducing scrap and rework rates
-Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Failure analysis and root cause investigation
-Collecting and evaluating failed samples
-Conducting preliminary root cause analysis
-Supporting containment and corrective actions
-Developing technical solutions to prevent recurrence
• Technical Training to CM manufacturing teams
-Product application guidelines
-Material handling requirements
-Common failure modes
-Best practices for assembly and installation
• Production Risk Management
-Identifying potential process risks
-Assessing material application risks
-Evaluating yield-related concerns
-Recommending preventive actions
REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of or experience with thermal interface materials (TIMs), EMI solutions, power inductors, and magnetic components is required.
• Knowledge or experience of manufacturing process knowledge, such as dispensing process, die-cutting process, automated assembly system, 8D methodology, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and time management skills for multi-customer engagement.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations at company meetings, industry conferences, and customer or partner facilities.
• Highly motivated with a strong drive to succeed in a challenging and rapidly changing environment.
• Up to 50% travel required.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Electronics Engineering, or a related field..
• At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications, datacom, automotive, industrial, or medical applications.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production, or quality-related functions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing analytical methodologies to identify, characterize, and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate program activities and technical information to team members and management.
