The Supervisor of Medical Staff Services will oversee and coordinate the activities of the Medical Staff Services front office team. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising team outputs and ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in meeting management activities, provider education coordination, report preparation, and Medical Staff department finances oversight. Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with medical staff leadership, administration, and the Medical Staff Services Manager to improve processes and support strategic initiatives.
- Supports the Director with daily departmental operations, priorities, and workflow coordination.
- Supervises, mentors, and develops front office team members, including work assignments, coaching, hiring, and performance management.
- Oversees coordination of designated medical staff committees, including preparation of reports and documentation of committee meeting outcomes.
- Serves as a liaison to Medical Staff Services committees while promoting exceptional customer service for physicians, applicants, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintains strict attention to detail and ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Required:
Education - Associates degree in Medical Staff Services Management or combination of equivalent years of experience and/or education can be considered to meet the Associates degree requirement
Experience - 2+ years Medical Staff Credentialing and Privileging experience
Preferred:
Education - Bachelors degree in Health Administration or related field
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
