Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Site Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and care. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to routine concerns while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, building perimeters, entry points, common areas, and exterior spaces to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location policies; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate areas as needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
