We are a premier service provider for Emerson/Fisher control valves and an authorized assembler of Anderson Greenwood, Crosby, and Kunkle pressure relief valves. AVS provides repair, testing, calibration, diagnostics, upgrades, and field services for critical industrial facilities.

What You'll Do
As a Valve Technician, you'll learn to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test industrial valves and related equipment used in critical process industries. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will:
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on industrial valves and related equipment.
- Assist with the assembly and disassembly of control valves, safety relief valves, and isolation valves.
- Learn diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques to identify equipment issues.
- Conduct valve testing, calibration, and performance verification.
- Read and follow technical procedures, drawings, and service documentation.
- Complete service reports and maintenance records.
- Support customer outages, maintenance projects, and field service activities.
- Maintain high safety standards at customer facilities and AVS locations.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians and engineers to continuously develop your skills.

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Ability to use hand tools and basic mechanical equipment
- Willingness to learn a skilled trade through hands-on training
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region as needed
Preferred:
- Shipyard experience
- Military mechanical experience
- Industrial maintenance experience
- Mechanical repair or troubleshooting experience
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating, or process equipment
- Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, or maintenance procedures
- Prior valve, instrumentation, or controls experience
Travel & Work Environment
This position includes work in both shop and field environments. Travel throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region may be required depending on customer needs and project schedules. Candidates should be comfortable working in industrial facilities, performing physically active work, and occasionally working overtime.
