FLEET MANAGER

Warren Transport is looking for a Fleet Manager to join our operations team and take ownership of an assigned fleet of independent contractors.

This is a people-focused, fast-paced role where you'll build relationships with drivers, solve problems, coordinate loads, and help your fleet succeed. If you’re competitive, organized, a strong communicator, and enjoy having a direct impact on results, this could be the opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

• Manage and coach a fleet of drivers with a focus on safety, service, retention, and profitability
• Build strong relationships with contractors and become their go-to resource
• Own each load from dispatch through delivery
• Communicate load expectations, changes, and customer requirements
• Work with Load Planning to identify and sell load opportunities to drivers
• Monitor key performance metrics including on-time delivery, miles, revenue, safety, and turnover
• Help drivers navigate permits, service issues, tickets, border crossings, and other challenges
• Address DOT and safety-related issues and ensure compliance requirements are met
• Advocate for drivers while partnering with internal teams to resolve issues
• Demonstrate and promote Warren's Safety First culture
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take action when performance isn't meeting expectations

A four-year degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

The essential functions of the role depend on in-person oversight, coaching, and real-time collaboration with management and operations staff. Remote work would remove the employee from direct supervision and eliminate the immediate coaching, escalation support, and call monitoring that the position requires. Because these functions are essential to the role, and remote work would not allow the employee to perform them effectively, working from home is not a reasonable or effective accommodation.
