HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
FIJI (LIVE IN)

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands‑on, people‑focused Human
Resources Manager to lead the resort’s HR function. You’ll partner closely with the Resort Manager and department heads to nurture a
positive workplace culture, elevate employee engagement, and ensure
smooth HR operations, timekeeping, payroll administration, and full
compliance with company policies and Fiji’s employment legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide practical HR advice and support to resort operations, management and employees.
• Ensure compliance with Fiji's employment legislation, company
policies and established HR procedures.
• Coordinate the annual manning budget and salary and benefits grid
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment,
onboarding, transfers, promotions, performance management and
separation processes.
• Strive for innovative recruitment to ensure our resort has the best possible candidates to select from.
• Complete property induction training and ensure departmental
inductions and probationary assessments are completed.
• Manage the live-in staff village, ensuring room allocation and room maintenance requests are coordinated with the Staff Village
caretaker.
• Coordinate training, employee development, succession planning
and retention initiatives. • Ensure employee welfare is paramount and that employee
recognition programs are delivered quarterly.

• Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, workplace
investigations and grievances fairly, consistently and
professionally. • Ensure accurate and current employee records are maintained in
the PayGlobal, HR Module, including appointments, personal
details, positions, departments, salary changes, allowances,
deductions, bank details, leave entitlements and employment status.
• Manage the FingerTec time and attendance module, including
employee enrolment, roster alignment and the maintenance of
accurate employee attendance records. • Ensure approved payroll information is complete, accurate and
submitted within the required payroll deadlines.
• Review payroll exception and variance reports, investigate
discrepancies and coordinate corrections with Head Office Payroll
and Finance. • Ensure Leave records are accurate and that a monthly balances
report is made available to all HODs to effectively manager their
leave.
• Safeguard the confidentiality, security and integrity of employee and payroll information
REQUIREMENTS:
• A relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations,
Management or a related discipline
• At least five years’ HR experience, preferably within the
hospitality or tourism industry • Practical experience using PayGlobal or a comparable payroll and
HR information system
• Experience managing FingerTec or a comparable electronic time
and attendance system
• A sound understanding of payroll inputs, timekeeping, leave administration and payroll verification controls
• Sound knowledge of Fiji’s employment legislation and industrial
relations environment
• Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational, administrative and analytical capabilities
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy and professional judgement
• The ability to work independently in a demanding resort
environment
• Competence in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
