Description
General Responsibilities
• Supports the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for assigned legal entities.
• Prepares and posts manual journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments in line with company policies.
• Performs balance sheet account reconciliations and follows up on open items in a timely manner.
• Reviews and analyzes trial balances, account movements, and financial data to identify unusual or illogical balances.
• Supports preparation of financial reporting packages, variance explanations, and schedules required by management, regional controllers, and auditors.
• Ensures accounting transactions are properly documented and supported with sufficient evidence.
• Collaborates with other finance teams, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting questions.
• Supports intercompany, payroll, bank, accrual, and other general ledger related processes as needed.
• Maintains compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable financial reporting requirements.
• Contributes to process improvements, standardization, automation, and efficiency initiatives within the General Ledger team.
• Provides support during internal and external audits, including preparation of requested documentation and explanations.
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Previous experience in accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, or shared service center environment is preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, month-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Experience with Oracle EBS is considered a strong advantage.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work accurately with large volumes of data and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to investigate discrepancies and propose practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interact effectively with different levels of the organization.
• Team player with a proactive mindset, ownership attitude, and willingness to support process improvements.
• Strong personal and professional ethical values, integrity, and commitment to internal controls and compliance.
Gross Annual Salary Range:
20,779.00 EUR - 28,571.40 EURThe salary range is published in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and relevant country legislation.
Starting Salary
The starting salary offered will be based on objective, gender-neutral criteria , (e.g internal equivalency, relevant skills, experience, qualifications etc.). Applicants will not be asked for salary history.
