What you'll own
Drive the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by delivering timely month-end close activities, reconciliations and journal entries that support critical business and compliance requirements.
Strengthen financial transparency by identifying, investigating and resolving account discrepancies, helping reduce risk and improve the quality of financial data across multiple entities.
Influence business and finance decisions through insightful account analysis, variance reviews and reporting that enables stakeholders to understand performance and make informed decisions.
Enhance operational excellence by partnering with colleagues across functions to improve accounting processes, support control effectiveness and increase reporting efficiency.
Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate documentation, supporting audit requirements and upholding Global Payments’ accounting policies and procedures.
What you'll bring
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and at least 5 years of combined experience in general accounting and/or audit.
Demonstrated success managing month-end close activities, preparing journal entries and performing complex balance sheet reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes and deliver effective resolutions.
Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle or SAP, with the ability to understand transaction flows into the general ledger.
Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
It's a bonus if you have
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
Experience supporting multinational or global business operations.
Knowledge of process improvement, workflow documentation and financial controls within a shared services or complex accounting environment.
