At Arrow Electronics, we are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team. You don't need to be a highly experienced GL specialist to be successful in this role. If you already have some hands-on accounting experience, ideally gained in an international company, SSC/BPO or corporate environment, and would like to broaden your knowledge of General Ledger accounting, we would be happy to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands accounting fundamentals, enjoys working with numbers and Excel, and wants to grow into a broader GL role within an international organization.

What will you be doing?

As part of our General Ledger team, you will gradually take ownership of accounting activities for assigned Arrow entities and develop your expertise across different areas of GL.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and managing General Ledger accounting for assigned Arrow companies,
• Participating in month-end closing activities, including accruals and prepayments,
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting variance analysis,
• Assisting with internal financial reporting for European entities and our US headquarters,
• Supporting VAT, Intrastat and Sales List reporting and related compliance activities,
• Working with fixed assets and maintaining accurate accounting records,
• Supporting statutory accounting, reconciliations and consolidation activities,
• Assisting with internal and external audits,
• Performing and documenting relevant Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls,
• Supporting activities related to revaluation, hedging and headcount reporting,
• Cooperating closely with other Finance teams, including Accounts Payable,
• Taking part in improving and simplifying accounting processes,
• Supporting the Accounting Manager and the wider team with projects and ad-hoc activities.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has a solid accounting foundation and is motivated to develop further in General Ledger.

You should have:

• Previous professional experience in accounting. Experience gained in an international company, SSC/BPO or corporate environment would be a strong advantage,
• A good understanding of basic accounting principles and processes,
• Some practical exposure to areas such as accruals, prepayments, VAT, balance sheet reconciliations or month-end activities,
• Polish and English at C1 level,
• Advanced MS Excel skills and confidence working with financial data,
• Good analytical and organizational skills,
• The ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively with deadlines,
• Accuracy and attention to detail,
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop your General Ledger expertise.
