Position Overview
United Health Services is seeking an experienced and passionate Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Binghamton General Hospital (BGH) Emergency Department team. In this dynamic leadership role, you will collaborate with unit coordinators, nurse managers, and nursing leadership across sites to develop and deliver orientation programs, continuing education, competency assessments, and professional development initiatives for ED staff. This position plays a vital role in fostering clinical excellence, supporting evidence-based practice, and ensuring team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide safe, high-quality emergency care.The Clinical Nurse Educator serves as a key resource in identifying educational needs, designing specialty-focused training programs, and bridging knowledge gaps that enhance patient outcomes and staff performance. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a minimum of three years of nursing practice experience in a clinical setting. Candidates with emergency nursing expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for mentoring and staff development are encouraged to apply.

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing
- Three (3) years of nursing practice experience in a clinical setting
Preferred:
- Masters Degree in Nursing or related field
- Previous teaching experience
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
- CPR within 3 months of hire
- Completion of Professional Certification within 3 years.
Preferred:
- Professional Nursing Certification in Professional Development
- Professional Certification in another nursing specialty
